Facilitate fitness-based kids classes. Create, organize and implement lesson plans for a fun and enthusiastic environment and engage children in a wide variety of exciting activities. Be the children's inspiration for wanting to attend class and continuing to make fitness a part of their daily lives.

Member Experience

· Enjoys working with kids ages 7-11

· Greet, acknowledge, and interact with members in a friendly and professional manner

· Facilitate organized Kid Groove classes (gym, sport, and/or climb) and ensure children are active, interested and safe throughout the class

· Create and follow organized lesson plans that focus on muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, coordination, and fun

· Explain and demonstrate activities to participants

· Provide feedback to participants/parents

· Participate and make decisions regarding activities in the program

· Resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner

· Respond to Member inquiries regarding Life Time Fitness policies and procedures

Sales & Promotion

· Promote and sell all Kids Activities programs

· Articulate extensive knowledge of Life Time Fitness products, services, policies and procedures

· Promote all Life Time Fitness programs, products and services

· Inventory and make suggestions for program equipment needs

Managerial & Supervisory

· Assists the development of the schedule for Kid Groove programming with Kids Activities Dept. Head

· Attend department and "all club" meetings

Responsibilities of All Positions

· Support and articulate the Life Time Fitness mission statement

· Pass Kids Activities certification training and test

· Ensure quality instruction via program standards set forth in training documentation

· Adhere to company policies and procedures

· Ensure cleanliness of the club

Customer Service:

· Demonstrate positive attitude and actions through a display of courtesy, service, cooperation, hospitality, sensitivity, and professionalism to internal

Qualifications:

Education:

· Working towards a college degree in Exercise and Sport Science, Elementary Education with a Coaching Emphasis or a related field, PE Instructor, Group Fitness Instructor or Certified Personal Trainer.

Experience

· Six months to one year experience working with children

· (Preferred) One year experience in coaching youth programs

Licenses / Certifications / Registration:

· Infant/Child and Adult CPR/AED certification (Required)

· Coaching Certification (recommended), or

· Certified Personal Trainer / Group Fitness Instructor (recommended)

Schedule Part-time
